View Full Version : Who do you want Keira to work with?

The Black Rider

I did this thread on the old KKW, but now I'm adding a new twist. :icon_jaw:

Just pick five people that you would like to see Keira work with in a film, play or what have you. It can be in the context of Keira's acting abilities now or in the future, or based on her looks, whatever. They can be actors, directors, etc. And you can post pictures of those people if you want.

So I'll start the ball rolling:

1. Peter Greenaway
2. David Lynch
3. Natalie Portman
4. Ricky Gervais
5. Terry Gilliam

Natalie Portman? I think that's too much beauty :)

My 5:

- Jim Carrey
- Martin Scorsese
- Brad Pitt
- (would say J.Depp, but she did ofcourse) Mike Meyers
- Kate Beckinsale

Directors (since I have to narrow it down to five) ...

1. David Lynch
2. Quentin Tarantino
3. Woody Allen
4. Atom Egoyan
5. Mike Nichols

Actors ...

1. Cillian Murphy (wouldn't they look good together?)
2. Emma Thompson (technically, she didn't really work with her).
3. Anthony Hopkins
4. Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman
5. Kate Winslet

So many others [actors] I'd love to see her work with. This isn't fair.

umm..this probably would change over time, depend on who i see in movies and tv but this is off the top of my head

1. Ron Howard (it'll be some drama or sappy movie, but i love all his movies)
2. Quentin Tarantino ( oh how funny and insane would that movie be....)
3. jessica alba (streetwise plus a brit, what a combination)
4. Christian Bale
5. Chris Nolan ( i dont know of that's his name, but the director of memento)
6. yes it's two more....Jude Law and Angelina jolie

people she's worked with but i'd love to see more: ewan mcgregor, natalie portman, hugh dancy, clive owen, johnny and orlando (it's coming but cant wait)

The Black Rider

Directors

1. Peter Greenaway
2. David Lynch
3. Terry Gilliam
4. Danny Boyle
5. Jim Jarmusch (Coffee and Cigarettes short!!!)

Actors/Actresses

1. Natalie Portman

I'll agree to Danny Boyle. I loved 28 Days Later, Trainspotting, and The Beach = too under-rated.

She'd be perfect in his films.

Problem with the Batman series is that every sequel/prequel since the first TWO have sucked arse and had terrible acting in it (okay...I did LOVE Jim Carrey as the Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face but everything else has been terrible), therefore, I'd have to say it would be a step down for our dear Keira to act in a Batman movie.

Swordsman
16-05-2006, 10:48 PM
It would only be a step down if she didn't get shot in the spine. Batman Begins is the best Batman movie since the Michael Keaton one. This Batman is the shit, and has nothing to do with the other movies.

Jim Carry did the Riddler correctly but Tommy Lee Jones just didn't do Two-Face right.

BrunoJA
17-05-2006, 11:01 AM
I'm not saying I want her to be in a Batman movie...just that she'd make a good Batgirl.

However, if she were to be associated with the Batman franchise, she'd be in good hands with Nolan. Plus Bale totally rules. So, yeah, I wouldn't mind if she were cast sometime...there are certainly worse movies she could be making. And it's not like even the crappiest Batman movies ruined any actor's career...

I'd have to say that that's probably the best suggestion on this entire thread. She works well with Johnny Depp, and he in turn works well with Burton, and when Burton is on fire he's such a good director that Keira could only benefit from it. However Charlie and the Chocolate Factory blows, so it looks like Burton might've lost his mojo.

As a blanket statement, I don't think that's totally accurate....
I personally like Tim Burton's style...WHEN IT WORKS, and that's a pretty big qualifier.

When he's on the ball, Burton is a fantastic director, but he's also perfectly capable of making some stink bombs. For instance, I LOVE Ed Wood and his two Batman movies; but Mars Attacks and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were crap. He's also done some films that were merely so-so, such as Big Fish, and Sleepy Hollow.

Burton is capable of being brilliant, terrible, and everything in between.

Pffft, i am a fan of Nightmare Before Chirstmas, and i was excited to see The Corpse Bride but that movie was just flat out boring. I thought it was alright but it just seemed so half assed to me. Batman Returns is halarious but not genuinley a quality flick. Burton can be a really good director but he can also be rather shitty. no, i think he's just implying that all of us possess the ability to manifest the entire range of human emotions and experiences.

i heard a few mention tarantino. i don't think she'd be a fit for a tarantino film at all, it's not her style to do that over-the-top stuff.

maybe shamaylan and her would be a good fit, although night hasn't been putting out his best work lately.
