I pack shelves at a supermarket at night time :(, im 18, I play competitive counter-strike, and enjoy computers and multiplayer gaming, im also a undercover movie critic and a irc whore / addict :P with a disturbing fascination with the lovely keira knightley, and quite a large collection of her pictures (4k), I listen to most metal music, heavy, rap-metal, new, old, anything with a nice riff and heavy beat. I drive a ford laser 87 ghia, and own a fairly decent pc and game cube <-- This is were my money goes.

I've lived in Australia all my life (that's 14 years) but I'm from a Chinese background. I currently go to a private high school in Melbourne (only Ple knows the name) and am in year 9. Besides the regular subjects, I am studying Media, Japanese and Latin, though I will drop Latin at the end of this year.

Dear Tigerlilly,

Howdy! I am a 40 year old married father of one, BOI (Born On Island) of Galveston, Texas. I am an electronics technician who recently returned to college and earned my bachelors degree in computer info. systems. I am in a transitional career phase, AKA out of work, so I spend a little bit of time here in KK land in between searching the internet for job postings and trying to keep my wife and daughter at peace.

Welcome to the site and don't take anything you read here too seriously and deffinitely never personally....unless it was typed by me, of course.

May God bless you abundantly.
Peace,

My name is Brad. And yes, if my handle seems familiar, it is a nickname given to me by a co-worker at a camera store which represents my affinity for the finest cameras in the world. I am assuming Swedish people are as familiar with the Hasselblad name as Americans are with...hmmm, difficult to make a comparison here, since we manufacture mostly garbage...so I'll go with British and Bentley. :)
I am 32 years old. I have a daughter who will turn 7 next Saturday. She is my pride and joy, but sadly, she lives with her mother and step-dad in Atlanta which is about 500 miles north of Tampa. Thankfully, I couldn't ask for a better step-dad for her, though. He adores her, too...which is impossible not to do. I drive up to see her every other weekend.
I work for my father in a small, family-owned medical supply business. In my spare time I play golf, watch movies and write. I have about five different screen-play ideas jotted down in various notebooks, and owe my current creative frenzy to a fellow KKW'er. I also draw and take photographs, although not as much as I should.

Hi hi. I'm Meghan/Meg/Meggie. I'm 19, I live in NYC or upstate NY or LA depending on what time of the year it is...but originally I'm from Bev Hills and lived there up until last summer full time. I'm going to school and studying set design at Tisch (part of NYU).

Hm let's see...I've got a big fam...back in LA I lived with my mom, dad, my mom's parents, my brother Paul, and my 2 sisters Corine and Danielle. Now I live in a fab appt. with my fab best friend Kelly. I'm a complete movie whore, I love playing tennis and running, etc.

I'm also dating a really incredible guy. His name is Jake and we've known each other FOREVER, and have been dating off and on throughout the years, and now we're on again - hopefully this time for good. Although lately I've had a few doubts about if he's really the one for me (as I'm sure some of you know, because I've complained a hell of a lot), I'm def. going to make this work, dammit.

Annnd yeah, that's me.

And let me introduce... myself.

I am Cliff. Torn between Korean blood and heritage, and British middle class upbringing, I am an emulsion of cultures, growing more obnoxious as the days go past. I've been told by a particular sharp member of the forums that I combine Oriental intelligence and the distinctive British air of superiority. Which makes me a bit of a cunt. Apparently. Still better than all of you.

I'm currently living in London, with my mum and sister, soon to drag myself back to southampton for some 'learning' Read that as procrastinating and drinking far too much for my liver to cope with. And once that couple of days are over, I'm going to portsmouth, and oxford and generally making a trek around southern England celebrating other people's birthdays and drinking their beer, wine, and hopefully some champagne. At this so called university of mine, I go through the motions of doing a computer science degree. Having attended less than 10% of lectures last year, I think I might up that figure... considering with 20% extra effort I'll get 80% more results. Thats the plan anyway...

I am 19, still look 16 or less. Great for old age, bad for pubs. Great for cinema, bad for clubs. I am currently working in a Sony Centre selling sony goods to people with more money than I do, who either ask questions like 'if you had the money what would you buy' which naturally make me bitter and hugely jealous, or ask the immortal question 'Can I have an iPod?' A question to which I was almost tempted to answer with my fist. After the 100th time.
I even wrote the IPOD on my knuckles in preperation.

I have a sense of humour. Honest.

My name's Jeff. I'm 17, and attending college here in Orlando, Florida. I'm a hardcore gamer, and getting back into playing CS regularly. I enjoy watching movies, however I'm not an avid critic like most of the KKW'ers here -.-. And... that's pretty much it...

My name is Noah. I'll be a junior in High School starting Monday. I hope to become a filmmaker as an adult, preferably an arthouse director as opposed to a Hollywood director. I'm fascinated by all different kinds of art and hopefully that interest will never die. That's about it, really.

I'm Jake. I'm 17 years young, and I enjoy a nice social evening on the beach. I play the guitar (classically, foo) and enjoy literature and philosophy (same thing, basically.) I <3 Steinbeck. Anywho, I plan to be a writer after attending college in the next couple of years. My work most likely won't get published, and I'll have to struggle feeding my wife and two daughters. But, it'll be worth it. I'm going to school in Portland to be with teh girl. I enjoy videogames, though, I hardly ever play anymore. I wish I were more wealthy. I love music, to death. Finding underground bands worth listening to is a passion of mine. :argue: is probably my favorite smiley. Or maybe :icon_lurk..one of those two. Welcome to the KKW..it's loads of fun.

I enjoy movies(more of the epic war-theme, comedy, and superhero movies), reading, listening to music. Oh, and I play video games (FPS on consoles, mainly- give me Halo or Timesplitters, and I'll be happy:) I play golf for my school (number 1 varsity, thank you), and I'm currently in petition to get a soccer team at my school. I'm planning on going to the University of Michigan in 2 years. Also, I enjoy Keira Knightley's work:P

For work, I'm a part-time ninja assasin.

Richard

My name is Richard, I was once close to being named Conan (which I would have killed my parents for if they did). I am now a senior in High School, it's not too bad, I can now go off-campus for lunch.

I just turned 17, an odd age, but old enough for the cinema now. I still live with my parents, and I plan to for awhile. I have been a member here for over 2 years now, I saw this place grow as I was member #23 on the old forums. I live in Long Beach, California... it's all over-rated.

My interests are just movies. I've been watching films ever since I was four and it pretty much stuck to me from there on out. I'd like to think of it as a way of learning, like a book, and with a book you never judge it by it's cover. I've always believed you can learn just as much or even more by watching a movie rather than reading a book... though I would recommend both.

I've never taken a single film class is my life, while that does sound surprising, it's not really. Everyone knows this, especially directors, but it takes years to become an expert on filmmaking. You can't just wake up one day and say I wanna become a director (actually you can) but you definitely have to work for it. If not by film school, than watch a movie. Watch it more than once, if there's a commentary track - listen to it, because people who care, who really care... know it will pay off sometime in the near future.

My life aspiration is simply this; mine is typical for an ametuer, but here you go:

I plan to major in film while in college. Hopefully work myself towards a career behind the camera; either as a film editor or an assistent, and maybe before I die... direct a film that will eventually be chewed out by the professors at my university and local movie critics.

To sum everything up, any good well-paying job behind the camera is alright by me. I enjoy films and I want to be around them as much as I can. But if and when all things fail in my movie career, (rather than suicide) I can always turn to the next best thing... watching one.

No one is even reading this.

I hear that book is pretty good. Celebrities even read it.

My father jokeingly swears he had plans to actually name me Conan-Lincoln Alawishes Faulkner. Conan was closer, it was changed at the last minute.

That would have been grounds for justifiable homicide.
My mother recently told me she wanted to name me Bradley Parker...
...instead of the death-row inmate middle name fave Bradley Wayne.
My dad's middle name is Wayne, and he wanted me to have at least part of his name.
That's what the last name's for! Dammit. Bradley Parker would have allowed me the option of going with the very uppity sounding B. Parker.
Damn Parents!
Oh shit...missed my meds. Sorry! :)

I'm Margaret, I'm 20, and I live in Texas. Hooray. Texas...no, I can't sound convincing at all. Anyway, I'm in year 2 at uni, I go to The University of North Texas, which is in the nothing-town of Denton. I'm majoring in English, with hopes of moving to England and possibly doing something in editing.

I play guitar, and bass clarinet, though I haven't played that in about two years. I have 3 sisters, one brother, and one darling little niece. I listen to music constantly and I am currently addicted to Frou Frou and the entire Garden State soundtrack. I read all the time, and sleep whenever I'm not reading.

Which means, nap.

My name is Lisa and i'm 22. I live in Manchester, England and have just started my post-graduate course in law (Legal Practice Course) in Chester. On this course, I am taught how to become a lawyer (solicitor), how to give interviews, how to write letters, amongst other boring stuff such as law! I am seriously regretting doing this course and so do not wish to practise law..but having spent £7,880 for this crappy one year....i'm just gonna have to hack it. I never knew i'd feel like this, i guess i love law, but dont want to practise it. I think partly its because i'm finding it hard settling down as i've finished a year travelling and working around Asia. I know definately i dont want to stay in the UK in the future, let alone stuck in an office. (people reading this may think i should have known what being a lawyer is like, i do know, just that after travelling, it's totally changed me...)

I'm a moderator on another site (i wont say) and i have no life due to Uni! I love soccer and tennis and am so in love with my baby nephew who's 14 months old. I play the piano but am quite rusty as i havent played for 1 year, and am currently trying to improve on my damn accent.....apparantly, i need to poshen up :icon_conf (who says the Mancy accent aint posh anyway *humph*...

Did I ever tell anyone I'm also half filipino? Yeah, that's right... me/ half asian. My other half is caucasian, from a German background. The weird thing is, no one can tell I'm half filipino. My skin is fair white, and I don't have that typical asian voice.

I tend to surprise people about that.

Read this and win a prize.

I'm Liam (surprise surprise), I'm 21 and I'm currently 6000 miles from home.

Currently living in Waterford, Ireland but born and raised in Sydney, Australia. This means I have an outrageously strong (so I'm told) Australian accent.

I'm an aviation enthusiast. I have 34 hours flight time in light aircraft and I've logged six hours in the F-16C block 52 simulator. I'm the only person ever to successfully land my university's Boeing 747 simulator without studying aviation science. I consider airshows to be pornography. I've also flown a 1944 model North American P-51D22/NA Mustang for 20 minutes. Bless.

I rock to heavy music. Also play guitar and take care of the vocals in a band back home. Haven't played for 6 months now. Tear.

I'm currently preparing to travel again. Destination? Not sure yet. You'll have to ask Leonie.

That will do me.

That must cause some awkward moments for the people standing in front of you.

I've also flown a 1944 model North American P-51D22/NA Mustang for 20 minutes. Bless.

Badass! My dad had a good friend who flew a P-51D in the 8th Air Force during WWII. I can't remember exactly which FG, but it was the one with the black and yellow checkered cowling. His plane was the Baltimore Belle and he had two confirmed kills. One in the air, one on the ground...both FW190's. If you ever go to the Smithsonian, there is (or was) a flight kit on display that was his. My parents have some pictures of me in it shortly before he donated it.
The P-51 is probably my favorite airplane...the P-38 is a close second.

Liam
10-09-2004, 04:34 PM
There are no people in front of me...I charge my way to the flight line :D

Black and yellow checkered...I have a feeling thats the 354th FG. The Pony I flew was ex 3 squadron, RAAF; it saw service in Korea until it was replaced with Gloster Meteor F.1's. It didnt score any air-to-air victories (you try catching a MiG-15 in a Mustang :) ) but saw plenty of action flying into walls of flak to strafe supply lines. Maximum respect to your father's friend - the Fw-190 is a nasty plane to come up against at low-medium levels...if it was an Fw-190D he nailed, then even more respect.
The Spitfire IX is my favourite, then the P-38, Bf-109 or Yak-3. The Mustang is nice...but it doesnt have that 'it' factor that the Spitfire has. They both sound fucking awesome though.

Er...carry on. Don't mind the waffle of an aero-fiend.

354th sounds right. I have it marked in a book somewhere. Mr. Kammer died a few years ago. He was a treasure. He also had home movies he took while in England...in color!
