View Full Version : Painting 'She's a Pirate'

I've been busy doing another portrait on Keira, this time focussing on her brilliant role in the third Pirates-movie.
I didn't care much for the first two, but the third really got me hooked, specially because of the most beautiful pirate the world has ever seen.

So, this is the result of my feelings:

As before, I've only been using watercolour on paper (with regular brushes).

Hope you like this one too.

I think this one doesn't have the softness the first one did, her face seems very angular and harsh in the two costumed versions. That said, the costumes look absolutely fantastic. I also love background Keira and the map.

Leonie, you're perfectly right. I took it back to the drawingboard, softened the faces a little (and made some adjustments to the smallest face), and uploaded it again.
Thankyou for improving my work!

Very nice. The style is not my cup of tea but you are very talented :) !
