Ok, I stole this idea from a book, and if it's been posted in the past, sue me.

In a fire, flood, earthquake, anything.

Assuming your loved ones are safe, what would be the first thing you'd reach for?

Pictures.
I have a bit of experience with this since the business burned in November.
The thing that tears me apart is the pictures of Taylor that were lost in the fire. Negatives for those may be in my or my parents' possession. Hopefully they can be restored. Thankfully none of the irreplacable family photos from yesteryear were involved in the fire, but those and the family history book are above everything else on the list.

The dog. :)
And, if there is a fire, a beer from the fridge to enjoy the show.

I woulda said my Wii, I spent bare long saving up for that!

But, I would have to say photo albums, as they are irreplacable and ohh the memories.

My guitar. At least if everything else burned I'd find more time to play it.

What Brad said. Photos are utterly irreplaceable. When I lost all the data on my hard drive I lost a ton of photos (AKA porn :-p). Sucks. Thankfully I was able to recover the bulk of the data again.

hmm...I wouldn't bother on carrying my p.c, it's doomed anyway. :p But on back-up files I agree.

My cell, which is an extension of my being (not kidding) would be among the top ten.

And passports, ID and such. 'Cause getting new ones over here is a pain in the neck.

If I could only save one thing...I'd end up burning to death in the fire. I wouldn't be able to choose over my 360, Wii, new TV, or computer. And then I would succumb to the flame and be melted to death.

Yeah, but getting those things back takes effort. I dislike effort.

Brad, this wasn't a competition. It's only a competition if I win.

And more on topic, I tried to think of something I own that would really be worthwhile saving, and I couldn't think of anything. And that just made me feel worthless and depressed.

You forgot to exclude "My house with everything in it".

Save that and you save everything.
