I've only seen a couple of her movies in my classes. Mommie Dearest and movies like them don't have any impact on my opinion of an actor or actress. If they're talented they're talented, even if they are crazy. (Unless you're Tom Cruise, then that's just a mockery) From what I know about her, which is little, she was OCD, and had social problems, but honestly of the actors back then who didn't? Their lives were run but the studios and they were given pills for everything, I think I'd have some problems too if I grew up like that.
Her adoptive daughter seems like a money hungry brat anyway.
