I was on my way to the gym today, and I decided to hit my local music store to see if there was such a thing as a King Arthur soundtrack(most big-name movies do) I was dissapointed that it was not there, although the Anchorman soundtrack was there. It was only after I came home from the gym that I found out that on bestbuy.com, yes, there is a soundtrack, but it dosen't come out until the 27th of July!!! Does anyone know why it's coming out so late after the movie released?

A lot of movie scores are like that. I have no idea why. Perhaps they think it'll sell more once the movie is out. I haven't seen the film, what is Hans Zimmer's score like?

well, he apparently left it really late, he may not have even finsihed it yet

i'm sure he has though, apparently it's going to be one of his worse soundtracks :(

fingers crossed, lets hope it's as good as his pearl harbour soundtrack :)

mind you the dr zhivago soundtrack was good, who did that? ludovio eindonholfhsdjflbs or something :p

I think that Zimmer's score is up there with the likes of Gladiator, Braveheart, and T2
But I have no idea why it's releasing so long after the film is out. I mean, I saw the Anchorman CD on sale, and only 3 days after it's release.
...Unless he's putting additional score in it/ extra computer crap on it(screensavers, interviews, previews etc...)

This is true, but in my case, Amazon.com has kept my adress from 5 years ago, and since my father's in the military, it always sends our orders to the house we USE to live in. So I'll just wait for it to come out-the 27th I think.

But is the OST actually worth it? I don't particularly feel obliged to buy an OST which isn't worth buying.

Piracy is illegal.

Really?
I thought all that bullshit in the news of teens sneaking into the movies to film them, or kazza, was just another thing that the government is trying to do to ruin our lives?

Congrats, you are todays Mr. obvious.

The King Arthur soundtrack is pretty good. The score is always an important part of a movie, and this one surpasses its rival, Troy.

I'm looking forward to getting the soundtrack myself. I enjoyed the score, but I fell in love with the song that came with the end credits. It was beautiful. Does anyone know the singer?

Nah, i've heard it. Hans Zimmers worst score ever. Nothing special at all.

It's not that bad, just not the best ever. It does, as I said, surpass Troy's score. I myself like the music from Bad Boys II, the original Jurassic Park, and a little movie called Koyanisqaatsi.

Yes, the score from KA is quite enjoyable, relaxing in some places. I did, however, like the scores from the LOTR trilogy, JP, and Bad Boys II(except for the Nelly shit in it-TERRIBLE!!!)

If any of you have had the pleasure of viewing the Rocky series (except Rocky V), the original score is outstanding. It's probably my favorite, it sets the mood and paints a picture for the story.

Hans Zimmer has worked on a lot of Jerry Bruckheimer productions. I don't think King Arthur is his best work.

I'm an avid collector of film scores and here is my quick take on the King Arthur score.

Firstly, it is terrible. Possibly one of the worst scores I've heard this year. There is no main theme and the whole score is just bland. The opening to track 2 sounds promising, but thats about as good as the score gets. There are no strong elements to the score and quite frankly, it is a complete waste. This score had such potential to be good... but it just wasn't. Hans Zimmer what have you done!

This may be a little off topic but I'd have to agree with Alby. The King Arthur score is not Hans Zimmer's best work. What is, in my opinion, his best work is the score for The Last Samurai. Now THAT is a brilliant score.

i liked the soundtrack especially after watching the film, but yet again i listen to classical music :p
