Just when we thought we knew of every Keira performance, a completely unknown one rears its head. Keira played the role of Polly (later Paulina) in a BBC radio adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's 'Villette' back in 1999.
BBC7 are broadcasting the serial next week in three parts on Tuesday to Thursday at 10am, repeated at 9pm and 2am. I asked BBC7 to confirm the cast list to me, and they replied with confirmation that the dramatisation featured Joseph Fiennes, Catherine McCormack and Keira Knightley.
You can listen to BBC7 here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/

I'm on the BBC7 mailing list (big fan of early British comedy - Hancock, The Goons etc), but I normally don't read it in any detail as I never have time to listen in anyway lately. Some mysterious force made me stop and read it all today :) :

"Joseph Fiennes and Keira Knightley star in this wonderful three-part adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's novel - Villette .
The protagonist, Lucy Snowe, has to leave England due to a troubled past, becoming a teacher in a French boarding school in the town of Villette. Will her friendship with an English doctor and also a stern schoolmaster cause problems, not only in her new found independence, but with the people around her? Tuesday - Thursday 10am, 9pm and 2am ."
