I just saw it last night, and it didn't make any sense at all! Can someone please explain to me what the hell happened during the last 10 minutes of that movie?!

Everyone in the village is living in the present day. the elders set up the village and raised their families there under the false pretense that it was 1898 [or something like that] so they could get away from the evils of today's society. the elders were all previously hurt in the past by murder, greed, etc. they saw their loved ones fall to the corruption of the city life, and wanted to live in a time period where things were much simpler and 'innocent'.

and the reason they have the village is because william hurts' characters' father was killed by his business partner, but was also fucking loaded. so they set up a reservation or something.

during the last 1O minutes?

they send the blind girl to get some help, for the guy who has been hurt and who she loves, in the city because she won't be able to see that they all have been living a lie. Her "escort" get scared of the "monsters" and leave her alone, she keep on going and meet a monster, in fact it's Adrien Brody's character disguised (he knew the secret of the elder, they were playing the monsters to prevent the younger to go out of the forest) and he scares her, she get scared and kill him. Then she goes out of the forest, find some people who get her some medication and get back. I don't remenber if they keep on going like that or if they stop?

PS: my friends and I went to see that movie when we were in london, they laughed during all the movie and then got pissed off, coz they had paid about 10£ for it, a waste of money they said

great movie,
the quality of the music, camera work, set, is just great.
It is not a movie you should go to with the thought "lets go to a movie without the brains and get scared".

Except the trailer made it look like one of them. People want scarey gore not some pathetic conspiracy or whatever. Since I didn't spend money watching it, or even watching it all, I'm laughing.

my friends thought it was too predictable and they guessed the end and the role of the elder right away. I didnt want to see it so I didn't have any expectations at all, it was ok. But 10£ IS expensive

£10 is expensive, it's cos you were in Londres. An adult ticket here in Liverpool is £5.40, which is bad enough for meh! (lol). But all the prices are pushed up in the capital. Anyway, I haven't seen it, but to be honest doesn't really look like my cup of tea. However, I'm a huge movie fan and I have been known to change my mind. So perhaps If I did watch, I'd enjoy it. Trouble is I know how it ends now so I probably couldn't be arsed.

oh, sorry to have spoled an eventual movie for you. About the price I realised it was because I was in LONDON, and I knew i would be expensive, but damn not at THAT point, from the food to th clothes, I don't know how they cope overthere.
And the movie was ok, not the best you'll ever see, I'm not even sure it'll be remenbered, my brother was disappointed too coz it was to obvious in his opinion. It was enjoyable I guess, nothing more.

I personally thought the movie was a HUGE waste of my time. The story was lacking and it was just disappointing all together. Shyamalan disappointed me, I've liked his other films. There was just something missing in this one.
