What is it?
The KKW Postcard Wall Project is just a bit of fun - the idea is to get as many people as possible to send a postcard to KKW from wherever they live in the world!

The simple aim is to have KKW HQ covered in as many interesting cards as possible. Every time we receive a card, we'll mention your name on the website (and post a link to your website if you send us it). We'll periodically take pictures of the wall as it grows into a hopefully monstrous entity!

Why is it?
Didn't you ever want to have an enormous wall full of postcards from places you've never been, from people you've never met, but that love you for bringing a little ray of sunshine into their life every day?

How can I help?
It couldn't be simpler! Here's the skinny:

1. Purchase a postcard from your hometown. Hardly bank-breaking.
2. Write on the back who you are, where you're from, your forum username if you have one and any message to KKW (like how you love us so much). But remember, this stays at KKW and doesn't go to Keira!
3. Send it to the following address (postcards only need the absolute minimum of postage)

Barrington Russell
c/o KKWavefront Postcard Wall
1-11, Sir John Cass Hall
E9 7LQ
United Kingdom

4. Relax in the smugness of knowing that you've contributed to one of the most interesting projects to spring from KKW's undergrowth since, well... probably ever.

And that's all there is to it! The messages that make us smile most might win whatever stuff we have kicking around and making a mess on the desk.

Get sending!

18-02-2005, 06:12 AM
it's the cost of a stamp I'm worried about.

18-02-2005, 08:16 AM

Prepare yourself for girls in bikinis and toothy reptiles. There isn't a store in Florida that doesn't have three racks of cheesy postcards.

18-02-2005, 10:14 PM
you should send a dolphin post card Hassel. I know Florida is full of them...

as is my closet, from multiple trips to Florida. Curious.

Um...yeah, no idea. Maybe there are UNT postcards, but otherwise I have none. I'll be on the lookout though.

Do you want Sacramento or San Francisco? I'm equally close to both. Or I could probably get a Lake Tahoe or Yosemite one too.

19-02-2005, 05:02 PM
I don't think my little town Birkeröd has any postcards. You'll get one from Copenhagen. Maybe with The Little Mermaid on it (it's supposed to be very famous, no idea why..).

19-02-2005, 08:17 PM
I'll grab some of the insanely cheesy ones they sell in here in California

20-02-2005, 08:16 AM

I'll still send one from Grimsby and Cleethorpes, but I just found a post card from the Ferry I went on to Belgium. I'll send that, I might as well.

27-02-2005, 02:23 AM

04-03-2005, 07:11 PM

09-05-2005, 07:50 AM
If you are a little weary of sending a postcard from your hometown, how about you send one from wherever it is you're going this summer? :)

My postcards should be posted within the next few days.

Edit: No they won't, because I'm fucking broke. *tear*

09-05-2005, 02:46 PM
i could send one when we go on holoday, will be round july/august

10-05-2005, 12:36 AM
i'm really not sure if they have post cards in modesto (where i live) and if they dont i'll be sure to get postcards from where i go over break (tahoe, wisconsin, pasadena/socal and north carolina)

11-05-2005, 12:25 PM
I'm sorry you havent got a postcard from me yet, I have been looking but I havent found any. however I found some ugly ones with views from Sweden( though i dont recognize them myself). That's the reason you havent got one from me and please dont call me a cretin cause I am not one.

11-05-2005, 02:57 PM
Maybe if ol' Barrington would post a pic of the postcards he has received, more people would be encouraged to send them. In fact, if he doesn't post a pic of what he has received, I'll be forced to exercise my "nuclear option", and send a postcard that will burn his eyeballs out of their sockets. Large woman...no clothes...don't force me to use it. ;)

is someone trying to tell me something?
