Similar to the lyrics one but instead of lyrics this one is all funny quotes from stuff (films, TV, speeches, whatever, just avoid songs or it'll overlap too much). I think funny quotes are better than serious ones as they're more fun and will remind people of good jokes and make them laugh :D I'll start with something from a very popular TV sitcom:
"You're such a nice guy" means "I'm gonna be dating leather-wearing alcoholics and complaining about them to you."
So the next person guesses what that is, and then posts one of their own. Spread the comedy people! :)

Friends?
I remember hearing that line, but I'm not sure of its origin.
"It's a dog eat dog world, Sammy...and I'm wearing MilkBone underwear."
*disclaimer*
This is from memory, so it may not be exact. Sue me.

It's Friends, it's a Chandlerism.
Yours is from Cheers I think.
"Well, thanks to the Internet, I'm now bored with sex."

Beowulf. Very appropriate for a scandinavian to post from a film based on a folk story, nice choice.
"Oh wow, I should really learn how to knock. Just in case there's a threesome going on. In the bathroom."

That's why the either or thread is going so well? :p
Ahh well, just a bit of fun, just surprised more people don't like funny quotes.

Nope, Frasier, but if it's that obscure, we can offer a new one. This is easy.
"We were on a break".
If you don't get that one I give up!

"You can't make friends with a squirrel. Squirrels are just rats with cuter outfits."
I have yet to be able to guess any of the above quotes posted.

Yeah, me too. I kinda recognize the quotes, but I don't know where they're from until someone writes it.

A real hard one.
Person 1: "Do you mind telling me what those four years of college were about?"
Person 2: "You got me."
EDIT : Oh shit, I messed up. I mis-read about the line having to be in a TV sitcom. But no prizes to whoever the guesses the movie I got that from.

Sounds like something from Two Guy and A Girl... Berg and Pete. Pete being the first and Berg the 2nd. But that's only a guess.

It doesn't have to be a sitcom. It can be a movie. Or did I like totally misunderstand what you meant? Incidentally no idea ;)

That be from I, Robot, or as my chinese friend said he went to see 'I, Robert'
Now back to Richards, I'm awful at remebering quotes.

My fault again. I must have not noticed the bit about the "films" in your first post. Okay then good. But still nobody's guessed it. Really, it's right in front of your eyes. ;)

Here's a quote then:
"Dear Lord: The gods have been good to me. For the first time in my life, everything is absolutely perfect just the way it is. So here's the deal: You freeze everything the way it is, and I won't ask for anything more. If that is OK, please give me absolutely no sign. OK, deal. In gratitude, I present you this offering of cookies and milk. If you want me to eat them for you, give me no sign. Thy will be done."
