Now it's finally here! Either you love it or you hate it. I love it myself! Discuss this loved and hated game here.

Not a very big Sims fan myself. I mean, I play the game of life everyday, and my version has the best graphics ev0r.

I used to be hooked on The Sims. I used to put them into the swimming pool, and then go into 'buying' mode and take away the steps to get out....lol! They swam around for hours... then died because they couldn't get out.

So amusing. Whats different with The Sims 2?

It's in 3D and there are diffrent stages in their lifes, baby, small children, children, teenager, adult and old people. Then they die.

Can they have sex yet? I'm not buying it unless I see them have sex.

They have sex, you see a really funny video and they talk in that language, your kids can see the shrink if they grow up bad. It is a good game and my sister is payin me £5 a week to play it. IT GREAT!!!

Couldn't they have sex in one of the expansion packs that came out? I don't really like the Sims, and like Jacoby said, my version has the best graphics than any game could have.

Fucking hate this game, life's already too complicated, and I'd rather not replay my life in a videogame. I do like the movie's you can make with it, and apparantly so does Rooster Teeth, the guys behind Red vs. Blue :icon_mod:

I'll stick to GTA San Andreas.

Oh, hell no, I CAN NOT STAND THIS GAME. IGN gave it a 9.9 out of 10! In a sense, that means it's better than Halo, Metroid Prime, and almost on par with Zelda OoT. Go there, and read the first paragraph of the review. Better yet, here it is:

Does the framerate still stutter? Is pop-in and draw distance still an issue? Are there any collision quandaries or other graphics-related bugs? Are the sound effects still tame by other action game standards? Does the AI ever have stupid moments or not perform the way you'd want it to? And is it true that there's absolutely no form of online play whatsoever? To be honest, the answer to all those questions is a definite yes.

Frodo is just mad it won't come out on Xbox for like a year.

And it is better then HALO and Meteroid Prime.

Guys...take this convo to the handheld thread or something. Geez. And for the record, it's not better than Metroid.

I just bought Sims 2 last week, and I'm hooked. Not only are the graphics ten times better, but the game is more like real life than the original...except for the part where the people are aliens.

And it's fun to create Sims because you can make them look really funny. I did a Narg replica. It drools and has an arm coming out of its head.

No, I don't fucking want it, IT'S UNPLAYABLE. So many damn glitches, I can't see why people want to play it, and no, it's not better than Metroid or Halo(which rule all) I told my friend(Nintendo-worshiper) what IGN gave it, and he is now writing them a letter of complaint. I'll show it too you when it gets replied to in their Mailbag.

The Sims is fun, but after a while it just gets so repetitive. Plus when you figure what the cheat codes are... Btw Sarah, if you want to see Sim people having sex just play Singles =\ Same thing except everything's about relationships. I think I won't bother getting Sims 2, don't see enough of a difference to get it. Doubtless they'll eventually release a deluxe package filled with expansions, so meh for now.
