So I find myself sat in a computer cluster, bored out of my skull. The hum of 25+ computers drowning out all the wonderful conversation on IRC. (Get on there you bastards).

Now, I ask, what shall I do in my hour, hypothetically of course as it will be over before any of you read/reply to it? Best suggestion wins an unnamed prize, my decision is final.

Note: no fit girls are about, so Liam, other ideas please.

Well then in that case...go with "masturbate". Surely you can find some fit girls on the web. The hum of said computers should drown out your "intimate noises".

With ninja timing you could start all the PCs at just the right time so that the BIOS beep plays the tune of SATURDAY NIGHT by Whigfield. This, we feel, would be a worthwhile use of university resources.

Kill someone with your mind.

Dress up as a woman of affluence, go down to a restraunt and pick up a rich, young proffesional, and then convert your story into a hit, Broadway musical.

Put a virus on all the computers, or if it has a ZIP drive, keep pressing the eject button. The wizzing of the moters is sure to drive people insane after 20 seconds...

Go outside half naked in the snow...

and meditate. Think about creating the perfect flame. Picture a small flame burning in your heart, then slowly move to your whole body being on fire. See how long you can last in the snow, without freezing your ass off.

It helps to take deep breaths.

Uh...right. Well atleast my idea has potential.

Poggs, gather a bunch of KKWers, create a tournament bracket, and make them duke it out in a Wavefront Tourney (subject topic at your discretion).

We have two terms to describe mechanical propeties: strength and toughness.

Strength is how much stress you can take in a push, pull, or bending motion. Lifting weights is a good way to build strength.

Toughness is energy absorption. Just because you're strong, it doesn't mean you're tough. Think Arnold Schwarzenegger (young) vs Bruce Lee. One way to build toughness is punching a concrete block. You can force your body to adapt and build tougher skin cells. Another way to build toughness is long exposure to the cold. The ancient Spartans and the Japanese used this technique to build overall toughness and body resistance. Flexibility also builds toughness.

Sitting out there in the cold will train your mind. That way, you can increase or decrease the temperature of your body at will, of course, that takes many years. It will also build willpower. There are some Tibetan monks that can dry their clothes in the Himalayan mountains by sheer will power. Crazy isn't it?

If you're bored, you might as well do something constructive. lol.

If I'm not outside talking to my plants about philosophy, then I'm inside increasing my flexibility.

You'd be suprised at how much your body can adapt to situations, especially stretching after a few weeks.

NearokA, I'm amazed. I believe that's the first time you have ever made a post shorter than 5,000 words.

My suggestion: Contemplate what it would be like t o be this man:
